75th Anniversary of VE Day
On the 8th May the nation came together to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) day. VE day marks the surrender of Germany during the second world war which lasted 6 years and pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of the British, Commonwealth and Allied Forces.
Under normal conditions there would have been street parties, celebrations with family, friends and neighbours, parades or concerts even, but due to the extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves due to the coronavirus pandemic we all celebrated from home. It was still wonderful to see how our students and teachers commemorated the day, by baking, decorating, whilst enjoying themselves thoroughly. Some of the pictures which can be seen below.
