Sixth Form open evening
On 2nd November we opened our doors to Croxley Danes’ first cohort of prospective Sixth Form students. They were able to explore our outstanding facilities and discuss the courses and wider offer of support towards careers and university that will be available to them next year. Mr. Dwight, Assistant Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form Studies spoke to students and parents during the evening about what life at Croxley Danes Sixth form will look like, the many planned opportunities beyond their chosen courses and the Croxley Danes Sixth Form Award. Mr. Dwight commented that “Sixth Form is a chance for a new chapter, a stepping stone between GCSEs and university and a career, undertaken with the carefully structured support that comes best from a school like Croxley Danes, that really knows its students”.
The Croxley Danes Sixth Form Award will be a dedicated certificate achieved through taking part in a wide range of enrichment activities that will help our students stand out on a national level when they apply to university, competitive school leaver schemes or higher-level apprenticeships.
