Croxley Danes Headteacher Appointed

Dr Valentine today made the following announcement: 

"I am delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Stephen Thompson MA (Cantab) to the post of Headteacher for Croxley Danes School.

Mr Thompson, who will take up the post in January 2017, has worked on the development of Croxley Danes from the very start and has been responsible for drawing up plans to translate the educational vision for the school into practice. Many parents will have met him at our Open Events or read his Project Manager’s Blog on our website. Currently Deputy Headteacher at St Clement Danes, Mr Thompson was appointed to the school in 2000 as Head of Science. He has served on the Senior Leadership Team for 14 years, during which time he has been responsible for many aspects of school life, thus bringing a wealth of experience to the role. The interview panel was unanimous in its decision to appoint him to the post and all of us were impressed with his knowledge, thoughtful reflections, insight and commitment to the school. I am sure that he will provide outstanding leadership for Croxley Danes School at this exciting stage in its development and hope you will join me in congratulating him on his appointment.

My role, as Executive Headteacher with oversight of both schools, will be to ensure that the vision of creating an outstanding school for Croxley Green using the blueprint of St Clement Danes is translated into reality. I will continue to work very closely with Mr Thompson and the rest of the team over the coming months."
