Girls enjoy first sports fixture for the school
The girls' football team played their first fixture of the year against St Michael's combined Year 7 and 8 team last night. Watched by staff and parents, they played well in their first ever match and, although the result was a comprehensive victory for St Michael's, all came off smiling having thoroughly enjoyed representing the school. Miss Lake, who coaches the team, was particularly impressed with their attitude and enjoyment of the game. Many of the girls had never played football before but were quick learners, improving as a team and individuals even through the course of the match. Player of the match was Jess who saved a number of goals in a busy match for our goalkeeper. Well done to all - we look forward to seeing you progress as a team in the future.
