Showing Racism the Red Card
On Friday the 16th October Croxley Danes School held a non-school uniform to support the charity Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) on their 6th annual Wear Red Day. SRtRC is the UK’s largest anti-racism educational charity.
Pupil and staff were asked to wear an item of red clothing and donate £1 to help fund anti-racism education for young people and adults across the UK.
All donations raised during Wear Red Day enables education and campaign workers to deliver anti-racism workshops to more than 50,000 young people every year, while also providing training to teachers helping to make Britain a safer place to live.
Racism continues to be an issue in our society with many people suffering abuse each day. We believe that education is key to challenging racism. By working with the next generation in schools, we can have a big impact towards eradicating racism and creating a better world in the future.
Our school raised a fantastic amount and as you can see in the photos below, students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day.
