In-year Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child and hope that you have browsed the rest of the website to get a feel for our school.

Applicants applying for admission to the school (other than at secondary transfer) for years 7 – 11 will be considered in accordance with the school’s in-year admissions procedure. The admission number for Croxley Danes School is 180 per year group for years 7 - 11.

Vacancies in Years 7 – 11 will be filled in accordance with the following over-subscription criteria in number order as follows:

1. Looked After Children

2. Sibling

3. Children of staff who are permanently employed at Croxley Danes School

4. Proximity to the School.

Details of each of these criteria are defined in our Determined Admissions Arrangements in the document below.

Croxley Danes is responsible for its own in-year admissions process. Applicants are required to complete an in-year application form (available to download below) and return it to the admissions office at Croxley Danes School. Allocations are made according to the in-year over-subscription criteria above. If the relevant year group is fully subscribed, an applicant’s details will be added to the school's continuing interest list for that year group and ranked in order against the published admissions criteria. The school will respond to the applications either to offer a place or, if the year group is full, applicants will be given details of the appeals process. If you have any queries please email admissions@croxleydanes.herts.sch.uk

Please be aware that if you apply for a place at the school, the school is required to pass an applicant’s details to Hertfordshire Local Authority. If your child is allocated a place the school will contact the applicant’s most recent school for information about the child.
