Musical Soirée and Afternoon Tea with Guests from Local Care Home

As part of enrichment week, we were delighted to welcome visitors to our school this week from Chorleywood Beaumont care home for a musical soirée and afternoon tea. Our friends who visited, were all aged over 80 years old and the eldest resident who joined us was 101 years old!

Our visitors joined us for the first half of the summer concert dress rehearsal, enjoying a range of music, played by our very talented school choir, various ensembles and soloists. Mr Townend, Head of Music, said ‘Our musicians have worked so hard this year and it’s fitting and lovely for them to enjoy this reward with our local community.

With our guests not only enjoying the show, but also a beautifully presented afternoon tea, created by our wonderful Food Technology teachers and students, the afternoon proved a wonderful time for our visitors, who really appreciated spending time with our polite and talented students. We look forward to inviting them to join us again, next academic year.

Loredana, the Chorleywood Beaumont Activities Coordinator said ‘Thank you for inviting us - we look forward to seeing you again and inviting your students to join us at Chorleywood Beaumont very soon!’

We are very grateful to the Croxley Danes Parents Teachers Students Association, who funded this wonderful community event.
