Sports Award Nominations for Croxley Danes Students

On Monday 17th June, we had the pleasure of attending the annual Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership Awards Evening with our nominated students - Summer E, Emily F and Ruby A in Year 9, and Ellen L, Elizabeth M, James K and Ty L in Year 10.

The Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership is a collaboration of 39 infant, primary and secondary schools, which aims to improve the provision of PE and school sport. The annual awards evening sees prizes given out across 11 categories, recognising the sporting success and dedication of the nominated students.

The evening kicked off with an inspirational talk from guest speaker and triple Paralympian in the London, Rio and Tokyo games, Kelly Grimes MBE. Kelly was the first woman to ever win a Paralympic gold medal in wheelchair rugby and delivered a powerful and motivating speech to the crowd.

The evening proved to be a wonderful night of celebration for all involved. Well done to all our nominated students on this fantastic achievement.
