Pride Parade Celebration 2026!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our second annual Pride Parade 2026 on Friday, as part of our Rainbow Friday celebrations.

The parade was very well attended by staff and students from all year groups, as well as Kyle from the charity Just Like Us, which supports our Safe Space. We were also delighted to welcome Sam from Apteligen, who not only joined our walk but spoke to students to find out more about our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) work at school.

Reflecting on the event, Sam said: "It was such a joy to see the Pride Walk and see how it has grown since last year. It's so clear from speaking to pupils that they highly value the inclusion work that you do, and you've created an environment where students feel safe, respected and heard. It was honestly one of the most enthusiastic Pride events I've seen this year when visiting schools, and it was truly very special."

We are very grateful for the dedication of Mrs Tomarchio, who leads the Safe Space in school—providing such an important environment for LGBT+ students, staff and their allies—and Mrs Richards, who leads all our EDIB work as our school Equalities Lead.

Thank you to all the students who attended, our Sixth Form Charities Prefect, Dylan, and Equalities Prefect, Ethan. Finally, a huge thank you to the many staff who gave up their lunchtime to celebrate with us—even Barney, our school therapy dog, who joined us in his progress pride neckerchief!
