Show Racism the RED card
The school held a non-school uniform day on Friday 18th October in support of the anti-racism charity “Show Racism the RED card”. Students were asked to wear an item of red clothing for a donation of £1. The day was a huge success raising in the region of approximately £400, so a thank you to everyone, parents, teachers and students who supported this extremely important initiative. Ms Wilding, Head of Years 8 & 9, the event organiser, commented “It was lovely to see so many students respecting the day and the charity to help educate the future on racism”. The donations will go to the charity “Show Racism the Red Card” who work daily in schools delivering anti-racism workshops, while also providing training to teachers helping to make Britain a safer, more tolerant place to live.
