Empowering Sixth Formers Inside and Outside the Classroom

Now in its third year, our Sixth Form is proud to continue prioritising exceptional pastoral care, ensuring that students are supported throughout their academic journey. With small tutor groups, students benefit from a personalised learning experience, allowing tutors to closely monitor both their academic progress and emotional well-being; we also provide numerous opportunities for students to feel connected to the community, whether it’s through Sixth Form socials, volunteering within the school, or taking on leadership roles; students are encouraged to actively participate and develop a sense of belonging.

This year, Miss Webb, Director of Sixth Form Studies, has introduced a dynamic Enrichment Programme for all Year 12 students. The programme is designed to promote both mental and physical well-being whilst developing essential life skills that build resilience and prepare students for success beyond their academic years.

The weekly sessions cover a range of topics aimed at personal and professional growth, including communication, confidence, assertiveness, leadership, creativity, money management, and staying positive. Additionally, regular sports and exercise activities are incorporated to help students stay physically active and support their mental health.

The programme’s goal is to equip students with valuable transferable skills that will not only enhance their future careers but also strengthen their university applications and personal statements. By participating in these workshops, students develop into well-rounded individuals, ready to face challenges and seize opportunities in the future.

Croxley Danes takes pride in placing great emphasis on well-being as a core part of education, from Year 7 and all the way to the end of Year 13, ensuring that students are supported every step of the way as they grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.
