25th MarchYear 7 Student Triumphs at Young Filmmakers Competition
We were thrilled to be informed of Maleesha D in Year 7's fantastic achievement at the Chorleywood Film Club’s Young Filmmakers Competition at the weekend. Competing in the 'Years 7-9' category, Maleesha’s debut film, "The House Sitter", was not only selected to be showcased but also went on to win the top prize in her category!
Her film, a spine-chilling horror fiction, was displayed on the big screen at the Chorleywood Memorial Hall in front of a live audience. Maleesha was involved in every aspect of the filmmaking process, from writing the script to filming, editing, and adding the special effects, Maleesha single-handedly brought her vision to life.
Well done to Maleesha, we look forward to seeing where her filmmaking journey will take her next!
