05th OctoberEquality Success!
We are delighted to announce that Croxley Danes School has been awarded a Silver Equalities Award.
This national award, accredited by the charity EqualiTeach, showcases how Croxley Danes has embedded equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout all aspects of school life.
Led by Equalities Coordinator Mrs Richards, alongside Senior Leaders Mrs Walker and Mrs Graham, achieving the Silver Award demonstrates an outstanding school culture focused on excellent equality, inclusion, and diversity practice. This culture ensures every student, staff member, and family feels seen and included.
Over the past four years, we have taken pride in advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion across our entire community. From celebrating key cultural and religious milestones—such as Ramadan, through our annual community Iftar meal and Diwali events—to supporting faith and belief societies, fostering meaningful community work, and actively driving LGBT+ inclusion, we have continually worked to ensure that every individual feels valued, represented, and supported.
We are excited to build on these initiatives, expand our inclusive opportunities, and ensure that respect and equality remain at the heart of everything we do.
Kate Hollinshead, Chief Operating Officer at EqualiTeach, said: “I am delighted to present Croxley Danes School with their Silver Equalities Award. The school has worked extremely hard to achieve the award, and it is clear that their care and consideration for equalities runs through every aspect of school life. Congratulations to everyone involved!”
Mr Harris, Headteacher, said: “Achieving the ambitious Silver Equalities Award is a testament to how seriously we take all matters concerning Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at Croxley Danes School. We have a rich programme at the school to celebrate and support our wide range of pupils and staff, ably led by our Equalities Lead, Mrs Richards, alongside other key colleagues. As a result, our pupils and staff report feeling a strong sense of belonging, which is something we value immensely. My congratulations and sincere thanks go to all colleagues and pupils involved in gaining this prestigious award.”
Thank you to our entire school community for your ongoing support as we continue to celebrate diversity and foster a truly inclusive environment for all.
