Community
Croxley Danes is proud to be part of the local community. We strive to ensure that we make a positive contribution to the community and that we draw on the support from the community in order to make a positive difference to the experience of our pupils.
Community Events |
We regularly participate in local community events such as Croxley Revels, Rickmansworth Christmas Lights Switch on and the Croxley Green Remembrance Parade and Croxley Green Diwali Lights Celebration. |
Links with primary schools |
We work with our local primary schools in a range of different ways including hosting Year 5 Taster Days, supporting with Sporting events, inviting schools to drama performances and delivering student-led assemblies on a range of themes - recent examples being neurodiversity, equalities and sustainability. |
Careers |
We are always looking to develop our local network in relation to careers. This includes support for our careers events as well as local businesses hosting our students for work experience. |
Cultural celebrations |
Croxley Danes makes a real effort to celebrate the range of cultures that are represented within our school. Our range of faith and culture societies at school provide an opportunity for students and families to come together within our school community but also draw on wider community connections to be part of some of the events that we run. For example, our Islamic Society Community Iftar, Interfaith Week Celebration, Christmas Celebrations, Hanukkah and our Summer term Diversity & Belonging Week. |
Charity connections |
We have supported a range of local charities over recent years. Recent examples include collections of items for Goods for Good, New Hope Trust, Comfort Cases and an annual appeal for Watford Food Bank. We are currently working on a Toilet Twinning fundraiser through the charity Tearfund. |
Parent, Teacher and Students Association |
We have an active PTSA which supports with fundraising and school events. You can find out more about what they do here. |
