February Sports Fixtures
Year 8
It was a tough result in the County Cup girls’ semi-final losing 3-2 against a very strong Dame Alice Owen’s Team. The team exemplified our school values throughout the tournament of excellence, respect and trust.
The Year 8 Netball team had a successful month of matches with a 4-1 and 5-4 wins against Reach Free School. Congratulations to River H and Kanyinsola A for winning player of the match. Unfortunately, they lost against St. Michaels’ 3-1. Well done to Emily H-R and Kanyinsola A on receiving player of the match.
Year 9
The Year 9 boys’ football team had a great result against Reach Free school winning 3-0 and therefore finishing 3rd in the district league. A fantastic achievement for the team that they should be very proud of.
The boys’ basketball team had a successful win against Westfield school with a final score of 32-20. There was outstanding play throughout, particularly from Will M and Zico M who secured the win.
The Year 9 netball team had a fantastic district tournament, winning every game, only conceding one goal and therefore winning League 2. The results were 4-1 against Reach Free, 1-0 against The Grange, 3-1 against Immanuel and 5-0 against Bushy Meads.
Year 10
The Year 10 boys’ football team won an impressive 14-0 against Reach Free school which means they are now qualified for the district final. Congratulations to all of the team for their efforts and determination.
The Year 10 netball team faced a tough lost against Royal Masonic School losing 23-2. Well done to the team for a good effort and particularly to Neveah R for receiving player of the match.
Year 11
It was a tough loss for our Year 11 basketball team, losing 11 - 35 to a very good Year 13 Grange Academy team. Well done Rio M and Joao for picking up the points.
