An Incredible Iftar 2025
On Thursday evening, 6th March, over 130 students, siblings, staff and families joined us at our Croxley Danes School to celebrate our second annual Iftar. This special meal marks the end of a day of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
A huge number of student volunteers from across our school’s Islamic Society and beyond, planned, spoke and set up the event. Thank you, Zia, Khadeeja, Imaan, Maham, Khuram, Saif, Rohan, Umair, Hussein, Mikael, Halima, Amy, Amina and Batoo! We are also very grateful to Party Souq, who donated all the decorations.
Our Iftar held in our dining hall happens every year with a huge amount of support from a number of our dedicated staff volunteers. We are very grateful to Mrs Khan, who leads our school Islamic Society for leading and compèring the evening. Mrs Khan spoke movingly about how inclusive and understanding our school is in comparison with her time at school, when she was expected to keep Ramadan with no understanding or appropriate concessions. Croxley Danes is proud to be a school which welcomes and celebrates the faiths and cultural backgrounds of all our families.
Thank to all the staff and families who gave their time so freely to donate food and make this year’s event so successful and thank you to all the families who made, bought and shared such a delicious spread of food. Biriyani, pakoras, samosas, pizza and a delicious array of cakes and fruit was enjoyed by all!
If you would like to make a donation to our Ramadan Charity Appeal for to Muslims Around The World Limbs of Hope appeal please do so here the appeal is open until the end of March.
